Yes, that’s right. However, if you are outside the US, they will not ship it to you. (Also, they do not display the reconditioned units to website visitors with non-US IP addresses.) You may place a phone order for a reconditioned machine if you have access to a US shipping address.

I cannot say for certain, but I’ve heard that it is good for the rest of June. So, best to take advantage of it sooner than later, and definitely before the end of this month.

Trying to maximize my investment. I want to be able to get a new vitamix and the $100 rebate for my 5000. Do I need to shop through Vitamix directly to do so? Can you purchase refurbished and still get the rebate? I think the refurbished with programs for $519 (I think) minus $100 would be about as good as I could ask if that’s doable!
Yes, you can apply the trade-in rebate to a refurbished Vitamix. And yes, to get the rebate you have to buy directly from Vitamix. Once you order your new (or refurbished) Vitamix you have 90 days to process the trade-in. You call Vitamix, they issue you a return authorization number, you send in your old machine, and once Vitamix receives it they will credit you $100.

Your best bet would be to call them at +1 800-848-2649 (Eastern US time zone hours: M-F 8am-8pm SAT 9am-5pm). Don’t forget to mention the free shipping code. 🙂
Alternatively you could use a web proxy server to get a U.S. IP address, but unless you use a premium (paid) one, I would be concerned about a third party having access to your payment information.

I just purchased my first vitamix today and used your promo code (Thank you for that). ..So I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to add a cup to my order for my free one or if they will just send me one because of the code I entered? I wasn’t able to find any details on the cup part of the code anywhere? I have 8-14 days to wait for my machine and possible free gift (with any luck), the suspense is killing me, so please tell me I did it right and my free cup will be in my order as a surprise bonus.

It say coupon already applied but still shows I’m being charged
I just checked, and it appears to be working. First, double check that the shipping charge is not being subtracted off lower in your cart. If it’s really not subtracting the shipping charge, would you mind sharing what system and browser you’re using? The fastest way to get it to work would be to try a different browser.
Thank you for reporting this. It turns out that there is a bug in the Vitamix shopping cart that sometimes causes this behavior. The solution is to start a fresh session: either clear cookies, open a “private” or “incognito” window, or use a different browser.
Thanks for the coupon code for free shipping! It would appear that it includes everything with no minimum purchase. Yesterday I ordered the mini tamper and treated myself to the tamper holder. I used the coupon code and it did indeed remove the shipping from my order.
I am one happy (tamper) camper. 🙂
Is it wasteful or unwise to just buy a brand new blender?
Nothing wrong with buying a new blender. I know plenty of people who prefer to buy new. But if price is a concern, I do think reconditioned gets you the best bang for your buck. (And even more so with the current sale pricing.)
Is the blendtec better than vitamin or vise versa?
I prefer Vitamix, but Blendtec machines are also very capable.

As far as I know, you cannot get 220V machines in the U.S. Some people run their 120V Vitamix with a step-down transformer, but you have to be careful to get a good transformer, because Vitamix machines draw a lot of power.
Thanks so much for posting the code for free shipping from Vita Mix. I just needed a replacement tamper and a spatula from them, but the shipping charge was 50% of the cost of these two items. Yes, you can. There is currently a bug in the Vitamix.ca shopping cart that is affecting some postal codes. If the 06-007021 code will not show up, you can call Vitamix at 800-848-2649 to get them to input it for you and take your order.

I’ve never seen a generic $30 Vitamix coupon in the past 3.5 years that I’ve been following Vitamix deals. The general discount that is available is the free shipping mentioned above, which, depending on your order, can be worth ~$30. There are also various specific discounts that come and go. Currently the Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs is $50 off.

I was going to order a replacement tamper from Amazon, but read reviews that the tamper was generic and was shorter than the original.
