Vitamix is running serious discounts for the Vitamix Days Sale (starting today, Sept 19th 2022 at 9am Eastern Time). There are a bunch of great machines on sale, and containers too. These are the lowest that Vitamix prices go. In principle the sale goes until the 22nd, but I expect many machines to sell out, so try to order ASAP.
How should you pick which one to buy? First, decide if you want one of the newer-style machines with Self-Detect technology. Self-Detect is necessary to use new accessories like the Food Processor Attachment. You can read about more details on my Ascent Review Page.
For Self-Detect, Vitamix Days offers the choice of the Black Stainless A3500($549), the Recon A3500 ($349), and the Recon V1200 ($299). Of those, I think the Recon A3500 offers the best value, and I expect it to sell out first. The Recon V1200 is also a great value, but I think the metal base and premium finish is worth paying $50 more for, if the A3500 is available.
For classic machines, there’s the choice of the 7500 ($299), the 5300 ($279), and the TurboBlend Three Speed ($249). Of these, I would recommend the 7500, unless you really want the tall/narrow container that comes on the Three Speed. Then if the 7500 sells out, the 5300 is still a perfectly good machine.
Most containers are $99 during the sale.
